It enables connection-oriented characteristics of the traditional transport network such as SDH-like OAM, perfect protection mechanisms and powerful management, while maintaining the superior statistical multiplexing and flexible deployment of pure IP networks.
The ZXCTN 6110 offers a wide range of interfaces with unmatched service flexibility. It enables service providers the ability to deliver mobile backhaul services, business-class IP and carrier Ethernet services, Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) and Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) private leased line services at speeds E1 and Ethernet services from 10 Mbps to 1000 Mbps. The ZXCTN 6110 offers a switching capacity of 3 Gbps in a non-blocking shelf.
Green Noise-free Design
With the evolution and convergence of networks, more and more multiservice access devices are used to accommodate the growth of services and applications, and deployed in residential communities, on the roof or in the corridor, which raises a huge problem: noise disturbance. As a result, ZXCTN 6110 has two different versions, one version (ZXCTN6110) is fan-less designed and has a very low noise performance, and another one (ZXCTN6110F) with embedded fan module can work in a wide temperature range.

The ZXCTN 6110 is a fully redundant platform providing carrier-class reliability. It offers a perfect end-to-end protection mechanism for the services transported. At the access side, ZXCTN 6110 supports Link Aggregation Group (LAG) and Inverse Multiplexed ATM (IMA) E1 group. As to the network-level protection, the ZXCTN 6110 offers Linear Protection, Ring Protection and FRR. The ZXCTN 6110 offers best-in-class high availability that is field-proven and time tested in more than a dozen carrier networks worldwide.
New Generation Synchronization Technology
The cost-effectiveness and versatility of packets transport networks are driving the convergence of services. Many services place new timing and synchronization requirements onto the packet network. The ZXCTN 6110 enables carriers to provide SONET/SDH-like Layer 1 timing throughout the network via Synchronous Ethernet.The ZXCTN 6110 also supports IEEE 1588v2 time synchronization over packet transport networks. Meanwhile, the ZXCTN also provides IEEE 1588v2 Packet Timing Protocol to distributed frequency through mixed networks and architect an LTE-ready network where both frequency and phase are required. As to the E1 circuit emulation services, the ZXCTN 6110 performs retiming,adaptive clock recovery and differential clock recovery.
Special level-2 clock switch control cards are provided for ZXCTN 6110, which can support high-precision clock source to support the 3rd network synchronization scenario.

Product Architecture
The ZXCTN 6110 is a centralized switching device, comprising of the System Main board type C (SMC) and multiple Extended Service Cards.
System Main Board
The SMC board is the central resource of the ZXCTN 6110 for both data-plane switching and the control & management functionality. The SMC performs processing and switching of service frames, tracking and distributing of clock, control and communication with the other modules of the system. In addition, the SMC provides the service access capability by integrating 2 GE optical interfaces, 2 FE/GE optical interfaces, 2 FE optical interfaces and 4 FE electrical interfaces on the board.
Line Cards
The ZXCTN 6110 chassis offers two extended card slots that can be used for any card type, removing the burden of complex pre-engineering and future scenario planning. The two supported card types are: a 16-port E1 interface card and a 4-port optical Ethernet card. The E1 card supports IMA, TDM and multiclass MLPPP. The optical Ethernet card has four ports of 100M Base-FX with small form factor pluggable (SFP).
Combined with the system main board, the extended service cards provide the ZXCTN 6110 the ability to offer integrated and highly efficient data forwarding across multiple services.
